Samir - one of the inspirations for the novel - reviews it

Readers of The Mirror Image of Sound will recall the character Samir in Brazil.  There is indeed a Samir (he is much younger though almost as wise) and he does indeed live in Brazil (though not in Rio de Janeiro) so the character was named in his honour.
